This is an absolutely beautiful Art Nouveau Repousse Locket that is in excellent condition for it's age. Its So very detailed ... being able to see each strand of the maidens hair.. and the beautiful ruffled leaves that lay behind her..each stiation can be seen in each leaf.. and I love the way the ends of the leaves come up a bit into a semi- High relief... for a wonderful 3-D effect.
The back engraving appears to be "LES"....

The information I received on this Locket:
"This locket is Yellow Gold Filled and was manufactured by Wightman & Hough Co. who were in business between 1856 and 1922. This is a lovely lady face locket with an Irish Lass with flowing hair and a Four Leaf Clover. This locket measures 1&3/8 inches width closed. The back is monogrammed and both retention rings are present inside."

I think this dress is so much fun. Check out those sleeves! So very mid century!

The dress is made of white and black sheer voile over an acetate lining. The dress features a scooped neckline, fitted bodice and three quarter sleeves adorned with ruffled tulip hem. There are long darts at the waist for fit and shape. The dress has a long back metal zipper. I do believe that the dress has been altered from its original design. I believe this to be a dress from the 1950's that was then altered (shortened and ruffled sleeves added) in the 1960's. The dress is in very good vintage condition with some minor yellowing to the shoulders and one small brownish scuff to the front lower right side hem. The dress is clean and ready to wear.

Here I offer a large modernist vintage 70´s bronze pendant with chain by Pentti Sarpaneva.

There is a red stone, but I have no idea what it could be. I know Sarpaneva always used Finnish stones though.

Signed / hallmarked Sarpaneva Finland Bronze, and manufactured by Turun (Torun) Hopea.

UNUSED! Unique opportunity to buy an genuine, original, vintage, 70´s Scandinavian design pendant that is also completely unused!

Excellent unused condition. The chain has darkened a bit with age, but as I do not know how to polish it, I´ll leave that to the buyer, should they wish to polish it.

Super mod Finnish bangle bracelet dates to 1968 .This is .935 sterling silver and smoky quartz. This bracelet is marked: HN (artist Helga Narsakka), the crown stamp is the national mark for Finland, 916H (silver purity, translates to .935) the town mark (Helsinki) and the date code (P7=1968) and the KK stamp for the Kaunis Koru shop. This measures: 2&1/2" in diameter (measured closed, from the inside) the stone is 1/2" in diameter. You can slip this on like a bangle, or you can hook the stone thru the loop and put it on like a cuff. Bracelet has a nice patina to it, but you may want to polish it, I'll leave that up to you. This elegant, signed bracelet is in lovely condition and the smokey quartz sparkles like mad in the light.

This is a vintage sterling silver and pink enamel heart charm pendant. The back has the Lord's Prayer in another language - maybe Swedish? It is marked "925S" with the maker's mark for Arne Nordlie of Norway. It measures approx. 7/8 inch tall not including the bale, and 3/4 inch across. There is a gold wash over the silver. It is in excellent condition - no damage to the enamel.

This circa 1960s piece is a rare and spectacular sterling and yellow enamel mid-century modern pendant designed during the 'Silver Series' by Bjorn Sigurd Ostern for David-Andersen, Norway. The pendant measures 2 1/2" long and is 1 1/4" wide. It is in excellent vintage condition with very minor age related surface scratches on the back. This is a terrific Norwegian piece by a great designer.


Background:

David-Andersen Co. was founded in 1876 in Oslo. When David Andersen died, his son Arthur took over and hyphenated his father's name. Many fine modern designers worked for the firm, specializing in all enameling techniques. This jewelry is stamped "D-A" (for David-Andersen) NORWAY and INV. (for "Inventor," which means designer). The silver fineness is marked 925S ("S" stands for solv or solje [silver]).

Bjorn Sigurd Ostern designed some of the most original David-Andersen pieces in the 1960s. The silver pendants he created depicted stylized birds, runes (the ancient Nordic script), harps and graceful variations of Thor's hammer with basse-taille (a transparent enamel applied over a design raised or chased in bas relief). These are stamped "INV.B.S.O" in a rectangle.

'The Silver Series' was released was released in 1966 and was a radical new-shaping of the traditional Norwegian enamel jewelry. Enamel jewelry traditionally had enamel all over the surface, making the silver work almost like a canvas of a painting. In these new designs the enamel was made to cooperate with the forms of the shiny metal in a more obvious way, giving the silver a prominent place in the designs. The series consisted of 15 pieces of jewelry designed by three designers. Bjørn Sigurd Ostern supervised the work and made most of the pieces. The other designers were Uni David-Andersen and Mariannne Berg. The jewelry was made in different colors of enamel, using patterns in the silver under the enamel to add to the design. Some of the pieces by Marianne Berg were made in sterling silver without enamel, using patinated/oxidized surfaces to give variation in the louster.

This artisan bracelet is stamped on an ovale cartouche with the italian hallmarks *864 VI 800. It was made in Vicenza , Italy and this is 800 silver. Nice Patina. In Excellent condition. No damage.

Vintage modern Austro-Hungarian silver large chain link choker necklace with smaller chain link sides and back. The necklace is 17 1/8” long and stamped with the Austrian Hungarian silver mark. The mark is worn and difficult to photograph because it is so small. This is silver but can't verify the purity. The large chain link is hollow measuring 9 3/16” long. Each link is 7/8” long and 11/16” wide. The narrower chain has alternating textured links and is 5/16” wide. This weighs 67.5 grams. There are some surface scratches and a few small dents in the larger links. Please see all the photos.

Part of my Mens jewelry collection. Heavily oxidized (blackened) sterling silver chainmaille cross on leather for men of all ages who love rugged yet clean design.

This is a masculine piece of jewelry for everyday apparel or a special occasion. Each hefty, 18 gauge sterling silver ring is hand coiled, hand cut, and polished smooth before weaving into a sterling silver cross. The cross is then heavily oxidized and again polished to a high shine. The pendant is threaded with double stranded black leather cord and fastens with a sterling silver lobster clasp.

Leather cord: ~ 19 inches (~ 48 cm)
Cross: ~ 2x1 inches (5x2.5 cm)

The leather cord can be made longer or shorter to match your preferences.

Chain maille is an ancient art of weaving together individual rings to create simple and elegant jewellery. This chain takes a long time to make and uses a lot of Silver. The rings being linked together one at a time with two pairs of pliers, each ring being linked into six others! (Full Persian chainmaille wave)!
